The Word of God (Scripture)
We believe the Bible is God-breathed, authoritative, and the ultimate standard for truth. While written by human authors over 1,500 years, God guided the process to ensure the message remained His own, serving as an "Absolute North" for human life. We affirm the historical reliability of the text, supported by a vast mountain of manuscript evidence and archaeological confirmation.
The Nature of God
We believe in one God, the personal, rational Mind who created and fine-tuned the universe. He is an eternal relationship of love, existing as the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is not merely an impersonal force but a loving Father who is both perfectly just and perfectly merciful.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and is fully God and fully man. He is not merely a moral example or teacher, but the unique Rescuer of humanity. We affirm His literal, bodily resurrection as a verifiable fact of history and the "divine signature" verifying His identity.
Humanity and Identity
We believe every person is a masterpiece created in the image of God, possessing inherent and infinite value. While humanity is fallen and "broken," our dignity is a gift of inheritance from our Creator, not an achievement of our own performance. True identity is found in being a child of God through Christ, rather than in our shifting feelings or desires.
Salvation by Grace
We believe salvation is a free gift of grace received through faith in Jesus Christ. Because the "fine" for our sin was too heavy for us to pay, Jesus stepped into history as our substitute, absorbing the penalty of justice to offer us total pardon. We do not work to earn a standing with God; we work from the abundance of being already loved.
Sexuality, Gender, and Marriage
We believe God has a purposeful blueprint for human flourishing. We affirm that gender is part of God’s intentional design, established in two complementary "stations"—male and female—to reflect His image. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant icon between one man and one woman, designed to serve as a living window into the relationship between Christ and His Church
The New Creation and Future Hope
We believe our ultimate hope is not an escape from reality, but the Restoration of all things. We look forward to the physical resurrection of the body and eternal life in a renewed world where God will wipe away every tear. We believe God honors human freedom, allowing those who persistently reject Him to remain separated from Him eternally.
Our Mission: Truth in Love
We are committed to the "Gentle Defense" of these truths. We believe that truth without love is brutal, and love without truth is sentimental. We aim to plant "stones in the shoe" of seekers—thoughtful ideas they cannot ignore—while always treating every person with the dignity they deserve as image-bearers of God.
